Jazztel has increased the penalty to be applied to users who do not complete installation of the service. This payment is against rights of consumers.
When making the portability of a phone line there are costs to the operator that receives the telephone number and the operator have to pay Telefónica for the work performed in central. If a client cancels the process the operator is not able to recover this amount.
Jazztel has informed that this penalty is due to “the costs that incurred for Jazztel until resolution was founded (administrative costs / installation).” This is the second increase since March. At that time the cost was 60 euro and it rose to 116.82, and now has been raised to the current 147.50 eur.
